MALA MAKING WORKSHOP

  • MOYO YOGA 4335 West Skippack Pike Schwenksville, PA 19473 USA (map)

While we typically think of the seasons as Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, the practice of Ayurveda divides the year according to the most prevalent dosha during each period; Kapha, Vata, or Pitta.
Kapha season is coming up; Earth and Spring constitute the Kapha dosha. Dominated by an earthy nature, Kapha is warm and in need of invigoration and stimulation,
and no matter what your dosha type is, you will be influenced by Kapha’s prevailing influence at this time of year.

We invite you to make a mala that helps you tune-in and find balance for Kapha season; seeking stimulation and invigoration. The beautiful Kapha-inspired stones we will incorporate into this workshop are: Garnet, Carnelian, Smoky Quartz, Aquamarine, Citrine, Lapis, & Red Jasper.
All the materials and instruction will be provided.
You will choose 3 sets of beads for your mala necklace and a guru bead. The stone meanings will be provided, and with Oracle cards, we will all set the mala intentions.
Be engaged throughout with inspiring conversation and community.
The end result will be a gorgeous completed mala.

“It offers people a wearable reflection of something in their own journey, so in that way the mala really becomes whatever the wearer intends for it,” - Logan Milliken
